Genie is the personal assistant every AQ member can turn on. It is one standing thread that belongs to you: it reads your connected mail and calendar, knows which AQ work items and bots are waiting on you, and writes you a briefing every morning. Ask it anything in words, from anywhere in AQ.

## Drafts, never sends

Genie writes drafts in your Gmail and waits for you. Anything that leaves AQ goes through the permission you set for that tool (Allow, Ask or Off), and when Genie needs a yes it shows a Needs you card in its thread and on your phone. ## Text everywhere, voice where it is enabled

Type to Genie from the sidebar, the rail button or your phone. Where voice is enabled for your organization, talk to Genie too: what you say lands in the same thread, so voice and text share one history. Genie is a bot underneath (see [AQ Bots](https://aq.dev/product/bots/)), so you can read its job and change it.
